SharePoint Users Group of DC

This past week I had the pleasure of presenting at the SharePoint Users Group of DC. They’re a terrific group that meets in the McLean / Tyson’s Corner area of Northern Virginia. The focus of the group meeting was to discuss the benefits and gotchas of utilizing Office 365, primarily around SharePoint Online capabilities but expanding to areas such as Exchange integration with Office 365 Groups as well as security and compliance topics. All in all a terrific time to get together and engage with the vibrant DC community. Thanks to Nikkia and crew for having me!

Slides for the presentation are posted and available to snag here:

SUGDC Deck – SharePoint Worst Practices

Last night, a colleague and I presented at the DC SharePoint User’s Group that meets yonder in Reston, VA at HireStratey. It’s been a while since I’ve done a talk and for those watching they might realize that this is a slightly updated version of a talk that I gave down at the Hampton Roads SUG two years ago.

So without a lot more text to read through here’s a link to download a PDF of the presentation:

MidAtlantic SharePoint Regional Users Conference 2009

Wrapping up a fantastic week of SharePoint goodness, I returned to Northern Virginia from Boston’s SharePoint Technology Conference and returned to the regular song and dance of being home. Friday afternoon however, I had the pleasure of presenting more Architectural Considerations goodness to the 2009 MidAtlantic SharePoint Regional Users Conference. The conference sported several SharePoint experts to include Bob Mixon, Sahil Malik and I even bumped into Paul Galvin in the hallways – thanks to the DC SUG for putting this event together!
